Ligonier Ministries is an international Christian discipleship organization founded by Dr. R.C. Sproul in 1971 to proclaim the holiness of God in all its fullness to as many people as possible. Ligonier has steadfastly served growing Christians and local churches around the world through broadcasting, publishing, conferences, and other unique outreaches. By making many of these resources freely available and launching new initiatives, Ligonier seeks to encourage Christians to know what they believe, why they believe it, how to live it, and how to share it.

Yes, all eligible donations given throughout the year are tax receipted at the year end. We recommend that you consult your tax adviser for confirmation and tax-wise advice.

Ligonier Ministries Canada, a Canadian Registered Charity, issues official donation tax receipts on an annual basis for the total amount of all eligible donations given throughout the year. Your eligible tax-deductible gifts are limited to the excess amount of your gifts given over the fair market value (or value of advantage) of any goods and services provided.

When you give a donation to Ligonier Ministries Canada, you may specify one or more ministry outreaches you wish to support. Spending of funds is confined to programs and projects approved by the ministry board of directors. Each restricted contribution designated toward such an approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the ministry board of directors, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where needed most.

Any donations you gave to Sola Scriptura Ministries will continue to support general Canadian ministry need, or the outreach you specified (pending approval of the ministry board of directors). You will receive an official donation tax receipt from Sola Scriptura Ministries for donations given through 2018. Starting in 2019, your annual official donation tax receipt will be coming from Ligonier Ministries Canada for all donations given to either ministry.

Thousands of people around the world have partnered with Ligonier Ministries in prayer and financial support. The faithfulness of our Ministry Partners enables us to continue proclaiming the message of God’s holiness to a world in need of the gospel. Ministry Partners provide a significant amount of the ministry’s financial support, for which they receive a monthly package with exclusive messages, the current issue of Tabletalk magazine, yearly updates on the ministry’s progress, other partner-only resources, and invitations to special events with the Ligonier Teaching Fellows and leadership team.

Your partnership includes exclusive benefits, but Canadian Ministry Partners do not serve as a voting body. The Ligonier Ministries Canada board of directors oversees the Canadian ministry’s initiatives.
